I went to the Old Dublin tonight for some conversation. Needless to say, I was not disappointed by the vibrant and lovely chat that I shared with azrhey (who is a lady), pphaneuf, and swestrup. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable evening, punctuated only by brief reveries of fantasizing.

Fantasizing about the wonderful hamburgers they serve there. Oh boy, I could hardly wait all day to eat one and I was incredibly pleased when I did. Heaven. After consuming one, I still had to try incredibly hard to restrain myself from ordering a second, which was quite a feat since the kitchen closes at 20:00. Somehow, I managed. I ordered a salad to go with my burger this time, but it seems like the cook who works nights knows how to make chips that aren't raw on the inside. Now I am undecided whether to risk ordering chips the next time. Perhaps I will luck out, perhaps I will not.

Too bad I missed it, but I am up to my ears in income tax.

Just order the fries and if they aren't cooked all the way through, send them back.

I haven't played in over a year, I think.

Should do that again.

I dislike the is a lady comment...

I'm very much a lady, I know when to turn it on and off and be fun as well

Did he say anything about you not being one?

If you can turn it on or off, then you're one.

Actually yes he did, at the party.

Rather, let me clarify. There was a blanket statement made
about *no* ladies being at the housewarming, I wasn't insulted
at all, just giggled, but saying someone *is* a lady (related
to that original statement) is a clear "but you others are not"

I'm still not bothered, I just liked to point it out :)

Wow, this is a lot more complicated than I thought it was.

This requires some explaination, I think. At the housewarming party, I addressed some people as ladies. That got me a very insulted person who informed me that there were no ladies at the party. Last night, azrhey clarified that she was a lady, so this was more of a corrective notice.

If you are also a lady and aren't insulted by the term, I'd be happy to refer to you as such, as well.

I don't particuarly care either way being called a lady or not in general

On the other hand, when told I am not a lady ( in opposition to other women present that are ) it begs the question WHY?

And I sincerely do not understand people who are insulted when called a lady when obviously they are not a gentleman!

Insulted by the term? Not at all. I was really just teasing. I don't concern myself too much with what people say, many people only ever see one side of me.
