Yesterday, I woke up feeling fuzzy-headed and strange. Uh oh, I think I caught something from ayria on Tuesday. Maybe it was because we were talking about Samba and Windows compatibilty; maybe it was because she was lying on the couch being miserable? Who knows, but I was ill.

So I went back to sleep. Then I woke up and did some hacking on libevent's package. Now I've got a new version pushed into the archive. One package down, a whole bunch more to go.

To switch gears, I decided to start working on our DDC talk. I've got a basic outline for what I want to say now, and I guess I'll finish writing the paper this weekend. Next week will probably be working on the demo portion of our talk.

Sometime during the evening, it started to rain which cleaned up the air quality quite a bit. I had kept my windows closed all day because you could see the haze waft around the mountain. But the evening was cool and clean, so I threw open some of the windows. Very nice. Unlike Monday and Tuesday, which were sweltering. It was at about this time that Mouse came over, dropped off my spare keys, and consumed dinner.

I've had pretty good experiences with libevent generally... other than their signal handling which was ridiculously broken.

I eventually used DJB's self-pipe trick. I'm surprised libevent doesn't use this for their signal handling as it would have saved me the trouble. =)
