IKEA

Yesterday, after work, I ran over to Jeff and Angie's place. This usually gets me there in about twelve minutes. However, since it was ludicrously hot out, I was sweating profusely when I arrived. This did not matter much, because I saw a little white rental car pull into a parking spot just as I got to their front steps. Angie waved at me from the driver's seat and I walked up to the car.

Then I pulled a monitor out of the front passenger seat and walked up to their front door, where I rang the doorbell. Jeff came down the stairs, looked at me, and asked for the monitor. Obligingly, I gave it to him and ran down for more computer equipment. In the end, we moved an Alpha, an Indy, a Cobalt, and a Cisco machine. Oh, and I think there was a stereo and an electric guitar.

After moving everything into their apartment, we set off to IKEA. Initially, we thought it closed at 22:00, but only later realised that it closed at 21:00. Which gave us a little less than an hour to go shopping.

Jeff exchanged a part that was incorrectly sized. Angie bought six lowball glasses. And I somehow ended up with two-hundred dollars in merchandise, each item priced less than ten dollars. I think I kept going around the store saying to myself, "oh, I need one of those," and putting it into the yellow plastic shopping bag. I don't feel too bad about it, because I've really been wanting those things for a while.

I have now just finished ordering a catalogue from their website. Oh dear.
