Restaurant OM

In my new, but temporary, capacity as a technical writer, I've been trying write copy that makes us sound glamourous. This is much more difficult than it sounds. This is a problem with being a developer: one doesn't suffer from the illusion that things are wonderful, one suffers from the illusion that everything is horrible.

Perhaps writing about something else would help?

During the Debian meetup that I organised, ze_dinosaur got a telephone call from mricon. They're roommates now, poor sods.

Anyway, it was Konstantin's birthday, so we made plans to leave Hurley's and go to eat dinner with him. Foolishly, Konstantin starved at the restaurant instead of enjoying pints with us. By the time we arrived, he was all skin and bones. Irony of ironies!

Restaurant OM is quite near to my place, and specialises in Tibetian and North Indian cuisine. Jeff and I shared some very nice curries, while other people tried out more Tibetian offerings. Konstantin devoured a nice plate of momo, which are stuffed steamed buns. I found a momo recipe online, which looks like steamed buns without yeast.

I'll have to try them some time.
