I have a terribly sore throat. My left tonsil has decided to inflate to twice its size.

I blame the stamps.

Your consideration is most appreciated. ;)

stop working until you get better, if you don't have your health, you have nothing. Someone in Montreal make this boy chicken soup! He probably has some hidden away in the chest freezer, it doesn't mater! You don't have to make it yourself when you are sick!

You don't?!? What have I been doing all these years?

If you can get some....Licorice root and ginger root tea ROCKS for sore throats. I usually find the licorice root from hippy healthfood stores...ginger obviously you can get from the grocery store....
The grated licorice is best...just drop a bunch in a boiling pot of water, along with like seven slices of ginger.....

it rocks

trust me

slippery elm bark is also great. you can get it at health food stores, not usually at pharmacies though.

hope you get better soon, simon!

You don't happen to have a naughty nurse outfit do you? I'm sure that would help with the ... verisimilitude when playing nurse.

Besides, my throat is acting up too. *cough* *cough*

Oh my!

I'm afraid that my place is in no state to accept visitors, even ones bringing food and herbs. But thank you for the very nice offer.

I've always used a ginger-lemon-honey combination which seems to work out pretty well. Licorice might be tasty, though. I'll have to give that a try.

I lick door knobs for fun.

I'm sick too and I didn't even get to lick -anything-. 8(

You should get someone to bring you popsicles!

But they were such nice stamps! I just got your postcard today, thanks :-) And I might mention, I've never gone to Germany without acquiring some sort of exciting sinus/throat infection, so it might be something else. Last time I was in Berlin, it seemed triggered by some sort of cigar that someone was smoking in the Internet cafe. Very suspicious. Hope you feel better.

The problem is that you never expect the nice ones...

Thanks for the well-wishes.

Oof. These things happen.

I go to a foreign country and am attacked by various bugs for which I have no defense. It all goes downhill from there.

Ew. On a happier note, I got your postcard! :)
