DemoCamp Montréal 3 is happening tomorrow. We're going to be at the SAT from 18:30 to 20:30, holding demonstrations on a whole range of different topics.

Why DemoCamp? Well, Montrealers are some of the most creative people I know and they've got plenty of things to show and tell. DemoCamp is like a big gathering of creative minds who get to watch fifteen-minute presentations on anything. And since all you can do is demo: no slides, no gimmicks, then you actually get to see real stuff doing real things.

I'm going to be there to show you how to make a counterclock. You know, the opposite of a clock that goes clockwise. Along the way, I'll do a little explaining of electricity, timekeeping, and motors. I just have to remember to buy a clock today. :P

Come on, it'll be fun!

What's this counter-clock you'll be talking about building? Please indulge those of us who can't make it to Montréal tomorrow evening!

I might write up a little blurb about it or something.

is this "camp" in the sense that there will be somewhere to sleep for free or cheap? if so, where and for how much? i'd like to go to this but i'm in Toronto :)

oh wait, i can't go, the "travel to montreal for $10" thing doesn't seem to work if you book tickets so not far in advance. hope it's awesome, though!

There were some actual camping events in other cities, but the name has taken on another meaning since then.

You're more than welcome to come up for the next BarCamp, which is probably a better idea anyway. It doesn't make sense to travel to Montréal for just two hours. :P

Also, you'll find that Toronto is a thriving city of activity. Check out the TorCamp page.

Sigh. I wish I could come. Alas, I am at work here in Ottawa then.

Your counterclock raises an interesting (if punny) question: is it wise? :-)

How was the DemoCamp
How did it go, how was the presentation.
