A weekend of fun

  • 30th Aug, 2004 at 10:11 AM

This weekend, Julie and I had quite the time.

Saturday was spent wandering the downtown, taking in all the sights the city had to offer. We met Edgar Hernandez on the metro, who was wearing an awesome shirt. We go down to the Old Port and see a public market full of people dressed to attract tourists. We stop to buy her a used bicycle, for which Julie has an amusing story, and then walk it back to the office. After that, it's more wandering before going to dinner at Maison de Curi. Finally, we take in a live show on Crescent St. which seems to be sponsored by some automobile companies.

Then on Sunday, we went to the Jean-Talon market again, this time to pick up tomatoes. We got a huge basket of them, and today I shall be sweating in the kitchen reducing batches of tomato sauce. I should really pick up some mason jars on the way home.

Ah yes. This morning, the postman came by with a package for me. I am now the proud bearer of a Canadian passport, which means I can travel the world. Wait a minute… I don't like going outside.
