I woke up without a voice. After drinking some hot water, things are better, but not great. At least I'm over my fever. I haven't an appetite, and the actual thought of food is making me queasy.

I've just been sitting around, taking photographs, writing random stuff on the computer, and watching the television. The production values here are very good, and all of the television shows are not quite the same as western shows. Rarely do people have conversations with the audience, but rather there are often two people who talk to each other in this incredibly artificial way. This typically requires a straight-man (often a woman) who asks really stupid questions that the audience might want answered. Or the television dramas here aren't like standard western soaps, but are often about familial relationships and generational conflict; as opposed to glamour and romantic breakups.

I went to dinner at my paternal grandfather's place, where he laid out a feast, that I mostly couldn't eat. But it was nice to smell and look at. Then, I went to my aunt's place to use their wonderful DSL.
