Jeff Bailey came up to Waterloo today. He's just starting his Bachelor of Independent Studies degree (of Hurd Hacking) and he came up to get his textbooks. We weren't able to get all of them, because they sold out. The kind lady at the bookstore suggested that he order his Linear Algebra text at Chapters.

We headed off to Subway after paying for the books, and had a vegan sandwich. It's not bad, but it's not very good either. Jim dropped by to say "Hello" on his way home, and then Jeff had to run to Kitchener to pick up his course materials. Of course, we think he won't get there before they close, so maybe I'll have to pick them up for him and bring them to Toronto.

The point of this is, Jeff is really fun, but we really ought to find a time where we can actually talk about stuff. I think he has to drive back to Toronto before too much snow falls on the ground, and while there's still light.

FYI, your link to Independent Studies is broken. ;-)

... or is it just me?

Vegan sandwich
You make it sound like I didn't warn you that the sub would be awful first. You'll give a bad impression of vegan food! =)

Re: Vegan sandwich

Oh, it's true. You did warn me, and I chose to eat one anyway.

It was a good experiment, especially considering that I don't eat at Subway very often. Their bread has an insanely high sugar content.
