They've just finished installing new escalators at the Guy-Concordia station.

Will, Forman and I were walking into it, and we noticed that the escalator was moving reeeeaaaally sloooooowly. I got onto it, and it sped up within a second or two.

Wow! Energy saving escalators. Obviously, they have to move slowly, otherwise people would think they were broken. But it's a really clever idea to speed up only when there is a load.

Speaking about escalators, I tracked down the site on escalator safety that I was talking last night:

It's quite hilarious in parts. My favourite myth/fact pair is the following:

MYTH: Escalators can reach out and grab you.
TRUTH: No part of an escalator can do this.
